finding and funding unicorns
Daniel Dippold, Founder/CEO of EWOR
Daniel Dippold is an exited founder, self confessed ‘math geek’, Forbes 30 Under 30 alum, and the CEO of EWOR.
Growing up in a tiny village in Germany, Dippold decided to leave everything he knew, and broaden his horizons. It was while travelling as a teenager he had a near death experience in the Australian Outback, which would go on to shape his outlook on time, and how we each have a limited window to create our lives, and build a legacy. Determined to maximise his life and output, Dippold went on to become the first person in his family to graduate university, leaving Cambridge Magna Cum Laude.
During this time he also built his first company, which he would go on to exit. On podcasts and keynotes, Dippold also speaks about how along with engineering an acquisition, he created companies worth over €200M in his twenties. He co-founded New Now Group GmbH, which allows their customers such as Deutsche Bank, Postbank, Eon, Philips, and Wella to tune algorithms post-deployment with their software. Dippold then founded and scaled Sigma Squared Society to over 30 countries and 200 global directors. Sigma is the world’s largest community of entrepreneurs under the age of 26, some of whom have become unicorn founders.
At 29, Dippold has been the first investor in multiple unicorn companies and has invested in over 50 companies to date.
He has given a TED Talk, and regularly speaks at universities, along with tech and venture conferences such as Bits and Pretzels, LTST, Tech Open Air Berlin, and the Global Startup Awards.Using his expertise as a founder, daniel doubled down on his investment thesis by founding EWOR, Europe’s most prestigious and selective startup programme for pre seed. founders.
