Lisa Winning, founder of Winning Venture Studio has been there. She created her first tech startup when it felt impossible for outsider founders.
But she knew how to tell her story, wireframing an app on her tiny apartment floor in New York. Her app hit 180,000 users on day 1, she then sold her startup’s book rights to Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster, with the film rights snapped up by Berlanti/Warner Bros.
Since then she has sat on the boards and advised multiple startups including For Them (backed by Reid Hoffman), Loomia (backed by Peter Thiel), BeyondPlay (acquired) and BuiltFirst (acquired).
Now, with her leadership on the boards of mission-driven funds and initiatives, from No Label Ventures to Pride Live, she and her team are driven to amplify the voices of outsiders.
