RAMZI RAFIH

champion of immigrants

Ramzi Rafih, Founder/General Partner of No Label Ventures

Ramzi Rafih is the Founder and General Partner of No Label Ventures, a London based venture capital firm backing immigrant founders in Europe, and in some cases even sponsoring their visas to stay in the country. Winning Venture Studio advises the VC firm and shares the thesis that immigrants and outsider founders ultimately go on to win.

Himself an immigrant whose family left Lebanon during the country’s ongoing history of civil wars, Ramzi graduated from HEC in France before leading Fintech at private equity firm KKR in London. While working at KKR, Ramzi began to angel invest on the side, building a thesis that under rep’d founders, and specifically immigrants showed the most promise to over perform. “Chips on shoulders create chips in pockets” became a defining underpinning for the founders Ramzi would seek to work with, funding them with his own savings, advising them and making helpful introductions. When he decided to leave the security of a prestigious job in private equity to set up his own venture capital firm, George Roberts, Cofounder of KKR became one of Ramzi’s first investors. So too did many of the founders that Ramzi had initially invested in with his own money, as things became full circle.
